Storck’s Aernario G1 grabs the German Design Award 2014

Storck has claimed a 2014 German Design Award in the category Transportation and Public Space thanks to its Aernario G1. This honour is the premium prize by the German Design Council. The Aernario has triumphed against more than 1,900 exhibitions and was voted the best by the 30 members of the jury, which consists of design experts from sciences and economy.

The German Design Award is organised by the German Design Council founded in 1953, based on an initiative by the Deutsche Bundestag (House of German Parliament) to give support for the design issues of the German Economy. For 60 years the aim of the German Design Award has been to identify, present and honour unique design trends.  The Aernario G1 isn’t at its first success after the iF product design award was won a year ago as well, endorsing the long-lasting design tradition of Storck products. Storck parts and frames have received 31 awards in 16 contests with 6 gold awards by the iF design organisation and 10 nominations by the German Design Award.

Press relation officer Mario Kuban emphasis: “This award is very significant for us. Simply being nominated is a fantastic recognition in its own right, so winning the award is a clearly sign for the success of our design orientated work”.
