We barely welcomed 2015 and SRAM already sheds light on the 2016 products it’s going to line-up, and the American manufacturer surely isn’t saving the best for last. SRAM XX1 will be lighter, simpler and more durable than any of its competitors, and the development team did its best to synchronize the components in order to achieve flawless functioning. And also thought of a new colour scheme!

The XX1 Black series, dressed in the ever-elegant colour, includes the X-Sync direct mount chainwheel crankset, the X-Horizon rear derailleur, trigger shifters, XG-1199 X-DOME cassette, XD™ DRIVER BODY freehub and PC-XX1 chain.

Pricing is set at 405 euros for the GXP type, 32-tooth crankset, 434 euros for the BB30 bottom bracket and the 32-tooth crankset, while the shifters and derailleur will set you back 163 euros and 290 euros respectively.

As the single-chainring revolution conquers the world, SRAM thought about those who gave up their front derailleur and prepared SRAM 1x™ Badge, a small piece which you can fit in the ex-component’s mounting space. MSRP of 13,33 euros.

And for preserving the crank arms in the finest state, SRAM came up with the Carbon Crank Boot, a pair of plastic protections that fit onto the ends of the arms, that cost 9 euros/pair.
